We had a fabulous week, our thanks to all. Fyly’s local base manager Afros Yacht Services were very good indeed. We did all paperwork easily in the morning (although needing >Eur 800 in cash was a surprise!) but then waited until c.16:00 to checkin to the boat which had been ready from 13:00!!!! Apparently Afros do offer an early checkin option although this was sadly/strangely not offered through to us by Fyly/Samboat!!!!??? Anyway we got away at 17:30 in the end after a very comprehensive rundown of the boat.
Parikia Port is lovely, small but great with the supermarket literally at the end of the dock. And we were very happy with our decision to charter from there to access the Lesser Cyclades.
Our SO 519 ‘Pinta’ was older/tireder/more expensive than we really like but we had little choice and none of that was a surprise. The area and islands are absolutely magnificent with amazing sailing and lots of lovely anchorages. In June at least not busy at all which we loved.
